Came back in at Cape Fear

The run from Beaufort was light and dead behind us. It rolled the heck out of us and the light winds were not enough to power us very well, so after 24 hours we decided to duck in to Cape Fear rather than press on in the exasperating conditions.

So now we will run on the ICW for the rest of the day and get a nice anchorage tonight. More stories later of the destroyer and warships that we ran into along the way!

Hi Guys! I am “much happier” (Way Happy is taken you know), now that I can access your site at work again! Yea! Looks like the trip is almost back to “tropical”, very neat. Can’t wait to see pictures of Beaufort, SC, where our second son was born. If you make it to shore, enjoy the frogmore stew!
    Happy sailing!

Hey, you can use ” way happy” too!!! Sorry that we dont have much in terms of photos of Beaufort….we are having camera issues again…..and we missed the frogmore stew, although we did enjoy Beaufort, it is a lovely town!! Do you know what the issue was with getting our blog to show up at work? Is there something we can do on our end? Hope it continues to distract you there!

Hahaha, there are those confusing Beauforts again. I’m looking forward to “Buuuuuford” SC pics (if your camera recovers). I didn’t think you’d gotten to the Southern Beaufort yet?
As for the blog, beats me, perhaps our secure IT network found a bad or questionable word like… “work” or “powerboat”! 🙂 It’s working again and I’m enjoying the sailing distraction! Regards,
    Steve
